INSTALLATION

NOTICE:
This procedure includes the installation of small-head bolts. Refer to Small-Head Bolts of Basic Repair Hint to identify the small-head bolts.

PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY (WATER INLET HOUSING)
(a) Install a new gasket to the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).
HINT:
Be sure to clean the contact surfaces.
(b) Install the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) to the cylinder block assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque:
43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}
(c) Connect the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) connector.
| (d) Align the protrusion of the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) with the cutout in the sensor wire clamp. |

(e) Using an 8 mm socket wrench, connect the sensor wire to the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) with the bolt.
Torque:
10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}
(f) Connect the sensor wire connector.

Shut Down Signal Circuit
DESCRIPTION The cause of the malfunction may be a shutdown signal. Check whether there is a shutdown signal +B short circuit. Related Parts Check Area Inspection HSDN terminal Check that the HSDN terminal voltage decreases to check for an open or short circuit while READY off (IG ON).
Ignition Coil "A" Circuit Open (P035113-P035613)
DESCRIPTION HINT:
These DTCs indicate malfunctions relating to the primary circuit.
If DTC P035113 is output, check the No. 1 ignition coil assembly circuit.
If DTC P035213 is output, check the No. 2 ignition coil assembly circuit.
If DTC P035313 is output, check the No. 3 ignition coil ass
