PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
| (a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance: | Tester Connection | Condition | Specified Condition | | 1 (EGA+) - 2 (EGA-) | 20°C (68°F) | 3.1 to 3.7 Ω | | 3 (EGB-) - 4 (EGB+) | If the result is not as specified, replace the EGR valve assembly. | | | *a | Component without wire harness connected (EGR Valve Assembly) | | |

MONITOR DESCRIPTION The ECM continuously monitors its main CPU and monitor IC. This self-check ensures that the ECM is functioning properly. If outputs from main CPU and monitor IC are different and deviate from the standard, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store this DTC. DTC No. Detection
DESCRIPTION The air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) generates current that corresponds to the actual air fuel ratio. This sensor current is used to provide the ECM with feedback so that it can control the air fuel ratio. The ECM determines the deviation from the stoichiometric air fuel ratio level, and
