Lexus ES: ICS Detection Area Adjustment Incomplete (C1AF0)

DESCRIPTION

When ICS detection area adjustment is incomplete, the clearance warning ECU assembly stores DTC C1AF0.

NOTICE:

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

PROCEDURE

1.

PARKING SUPPORT BRAKE SYSTEM REGISTRATION

(a) Perform parking support brake system registration.

2.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.

Body Electrical > Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A > Trouble Codes

(b) Clear the DTCs according to the screen on the Techstream.

Body Electrical > Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A > Clear DTCs

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

HINT:

If DTC C1AF0 is still output after performing parking support brake system registration 3 times, replace the clearance warning ECU assembly.
