Lexus ES: Software Incompatibility with Body Control Module "B" (U1331)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the destination information of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) does not match that of the blind spot monitor sensors.

NOTICE:

  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is on.
  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Registration.

PROCEDURE

1.

CONFIRM PART NUMBER (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))

(a) Check the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) part number.

(1) Check if the part number of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) installed on the vehicle is correct.

OK:

The part number is correct.

NG

REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

OK

2.

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Clear DTCs Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Trouble Codes Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1. INSTALL NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER (a) Connect the connector. (b) Engage the clamp to install the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer. 2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1. INSPECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP ASSEMBLY (a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance: Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (BM1) - 4 (GND1) Always 10 Ω or less 1 (BM2) - 3 (GND2) Always 10 Ω
