MONITOR DESCRIPTION

C14B0, C14C0 and C14D0:
  • When the supply voltage to a brake fluid pressure sensor is outside of the normal range, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the supply voltage to the sensor is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
C14B1, C14C1 and C14D1:
  • When an invalid serial communication signal is detected, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that communication is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
C14B2, C14C2 and C14D2:
  • When the pressure or temperature of a brake fluid pressure sensor exceeds a certain value, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the internal data is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
C14B4, C14C4 and C14D3:
  • When the difference between the present output of a brake fluid pressure sensor and the previous output of a brake fluid pressure sensor becomes considerably large, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the sensor output is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
C14B5, C14C5 and C14D4 (Case 1):
  • When the following conditions are met, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the data from a brake fluid pressure sensor is invalid and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
    1. Brake fluid pressure sensor related DTCs (DTC C14B0, C14B1, C14B2, C14B4, C14C0, C14C1, C14C2, C14C4, C14D0, C14D1, C14D2 and C14D3) are not stored.
    2. When related malfunction DTCs are not stored, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) detects a brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction.
C14D4 (Case 2):
  • When the accumulator pressure sensor data is abnormal or there is a communication error, before the accumulator pressure sensor is judged to be malfunctioning (C14D0, C14D1 or C14D2), a reset of the timer which is used for detection timing, etc., may be performed by the IC. If this situation repeats consecutively, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the accumulator pressure sensor reset is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
